1st It was just a past time game for me. But when I join the varsity team of Assumption College of Davao (ACD) it began as a hobby. Everyday we train and slowly I developed my basketball skills. Some people say I can’t do it because I’m not that tall to become a basketball player but I tried my best to show them that they are all wrong. I train hard to become a good player in our school also I do self training so that I could catch up to my fellow players who are really good in playing basketball. Slowly people know me as a good basketball player. As time goes by I was well-known to our school because I’m good looking as they said and I have good skills in playing basketball.
In my high school days it was difficult for me to join again the basketball varsity because I was too small. When I was 1st year high school I was not accepted as player for the team for that reason, but I don’t give up and when I was 2nd year high school I was able to join the basketball varsity team but sometimes I was a bench warmer that time. When I was 3rd year high school I become the best not to best as a point guard to my team. My coach took a big part to train me to become a good point guard and to make good decisions in a game. That time we played championship game versus Ateneo De Davao University in cadet division, but we lose the game and I cried because it was my fault. That time my coach approach me and said “good job, we can do it next time around ,and it was a good fight. Cheer up!”, that time I realize I have to train much more to get the championship title. When I was 4th year high school it was too much pressure to our team because we have to defend the junior division championship title to our enemies. Those time our line-up become smaller compare to other teams. We train hard almost killed our self to defend the title but it was a failure to use we lose the championship battle between St.Therese but our coach is so proud of us because ,we show them a good fight even it was a miss match for us.
As I enrolled in this school University of Immaculate Conception for my college, I have observed that some of the students notice me, and I don’t know why…
Then intramurals comes, I joined a basketball team of ITE program, and became more popular, because I’m one of the first five, which means I’m one of the best player in the ITE Department.
We competed with different courses and won several times…
About how I play, I had an unusual style for centers of the time; despite of my height, I possessed good mobility, and had a good control of the ball and was a good shooter from distance.
